OpenTTD
« on: 13 Oct 2013, 13:27 »

Lately I've been playing OpenTTD, an open-source clone of Transport Tycoon Deluxe, a game in which you build a transportation system to haul passengers and cargo around towns spread across a map. I should warn anyone who hasn't played it that it's a rather large time sink. Does anyone else on the forum play it?

I used to, but I never really got the hang of it.

It also gets boring because there isn't really an AI that contends you.

I haven't actually tried playing against the AI. I just like building things.

Yeah, my major annoyance is that the oil refineries disappear very often. Also, a trick to deal with the city governments is to plant a lot of trees. They really like that.
