I've never been a regular CAD reader but I've had enough linked to me over the years that I feel comfortable saying that the CAD hate is a bit overblown but not unfounded. The miscarriage storyline has become the go-to example of how awful his work is, but I think this comic does a better job of encapsulating CAD's worst excesses. As always it has too many word balloons and in this case Buckley takes the liberty of speaking like he's a figurehead for gamers everywhere. That last bit is doubly damning given that he immediately puts his legendary tin ear on display for all the world to see. It's really the first and only webcomic I have felt somewhat embarrassed to be exposed to. If a 24 year old grown ass man cannot figure out that all but threatening someone is a bad idea in this context, then, well, maybe Jack Thompson has a point when he implies that gamers are too stupid to handle violent media.

I think he thinks that he's on par with the Penny Arcade people. And you don't compare yourselves to the "best in the business" without expecting to get a lot of flack or scrutiny in return.

That "comic" is really crammed with word balloons and self-righteousness, but the paint chips line is still awesome.

I love, absolutely adore people who obviously have quite a bit of skill at dancing but also aren't afraid to look silly and goofy. The section from 0:56 to about 1:10 remind me of when Liz Lemon dances. This is a totally good thing.
