That was pretty sweet, except for the mix up of certain elements of chinese and japanese culture.

I clicked on the related link "Erasure Sometimes" thinking it'd be a parody of the song Always. Turns out, they also have a song called Sometimes.

Yeah, they only had a couple top 20 hits in the US, and you have to remember that many posters and adult swim viewers probably would have been in elementary school at the time. Synthpop simply doesn't have the same presence stateside as it has in other countries. R&B and country produces a ton of our popular music and hip-hop generally fills the dancing to synths niche.
