Also, anyone here have experience with 4-AcO-DMT a.k.a. Acetylpsilocin? Snagged 100mg and I don't even know what a good starter dose is.
4-AcO-DMT is DEFINITELY not N,N-dimethyltryptamine, which is what most people think about when they hear the term "DMT." It is much closer to 4-HO-DMT (psilocin) and 4-PO-DMT (psilocybin), aka the chemicals in psychedelic mushrooms that make you trip. It's quite likely that its psychedelic properties are due for the most part to the body metabolizing it into one of these chemicals, in fact. N,N-DMT, which is what Sean is talking about, is the stuff in ayahuasca and the only way to put it directly into your body without the need for any other chemicals to activate it is to smoke it as a freebase or inject it, both of which result in very short and unbelievably powerful experiences.
Basically 4-AcO-DMT (which I've heard referred to as "psilacetin" rather than "acetylpsilocin," although I believe both are technically valid terms) is very similar to mushrooms, as far as the experience goes, with a few differences. For one, you're ingesting a pure chemical rather than a fungus, which means that your digestive system is going to have a much easier time of things. For another, you have the option of snorting the stuff, which would require half the dose for the same effect, and would kick in much faster, but would also be a shorter trip (4-5 hours as opposed to 6-7). From what I hear most people who try it prefer it to eating mushrooms simply on the basis that it is a gentler experience (probably due to the lack of mushroom matter in your stomach), and many claim that they find it much less likely to result in difficult or unpleasant experiences than traditional mushrooms. Basically the consensus from the people I've talked to is that it's fucking awesome and I'm honestly kind of jealous that you have some because I've never gotten around to tracking it down myself.
Dosage is probably best standardized at about 10-20mg (if you're eating it) or 5-10mg (if you're snorting it). If any mushroom experience you have has been in the range of 3-3.5g (most people seem to think that eating an 8th is a good standard), 20mg oral or 10mg snorted should be about comparable to that. A friend of mine who took 25mg orally and went hiking in the Appalachians reported an extremely strong and overwhelmingly positive experience. I wouldn't recommend pushing the dose any higher than 25-30mg (although there's not exactly a health risk, this whole family of chemicals is remarkably non-toxic ... the risk is in being completely overwhelmed by the trip and having a really rough time as a result). You've got about the equivalent of 3/4 of an ounce of mushrooms or so, in other words, so divide it up as such.

A quick note: you should DEFINITELY ask the person you got it from about the scale they used to measure it. In fact, ask to borrow it or ask for your purchase to be measured out into doses for you. Eyeballing doses of a psychedelic that is active in the 10mg range is just not smart at all and it's certainly to be avoided if possible. If it turns out that your source was dumb enough to try to weigh out 100mg with a scale that was only accurate to .1g (very unlikely but worth making sure of), don't touch the stuff until you find a more accurate scale and make sure that you've actually got 100 milligrams and not 125 or 80. If they used one accurate to .01g, you're basically safe to eyeball doses but weighing individual doses on that scale will not improve your accuracy very much compared to that.
