I've seen this one in the wild, so to speak. It was the description in the local paper's version of the TV/Cable listings for that episode of Ustinov's Mark Twain travelogue, where he retraced Twain's footsteps in an around-the-world journey. It must have been late 90s when I saw it, because I had seen it online first, which is why I noticed and noted the occurrence.

So my work just did a weird thing.  they didn't block the forum from work...but they blocked the ability for me to make posts from work... :/
Guess I'll just lurk from work.  I work in a call center so most of the time its just sitting there waiting for a call.  Ah well.

This looks like its from Bioshock!  :-o

Man, I completely missed out on Tinder. It started less than a week after my relationship did. Not complaining, but it would've been cool to use.

Hmm.
For D&D characters, the ones I can remember are Marien, Vareth the Red, the Rum King, Fuego, and Tremell.  If you include all non-online RPGs, add Ian the Drowned, "James", Mason, Donovan Meyers,  Lol,  "Sick Boy", and a whole bunch of NPCs.

minor details spoilt to not derail the thread.

The CSM publishes a daily religious column, and a religious article appears in each weekly magazine, but it has a good reputation for unbiased, unsensational news coverage.

Sort of.

It's not made up, but some stuff is more or less Machine Translated (or in such a style), so it assumes some words grabbed from one dictionary-definition out of context, when it's really another.

Like, "Karla's Scheme" is from "Karlaplan". So think "A plane surface" versus "Having a plan". So like a town square, really.

However a lot of them are accurate too. Like when on the train between Father City (Not as snazzy as Daddy Town, but Far doesn't really translate as that usually. Or "Far" as in travel, etc. Dunno. Probably the latter.) and the central station it's not unusual to have little kids enthusiastically go "Blow-out?!" and start huffing away compliantly.

~Something which me and my friends, as mature individuals, have of course never partaken in~

Grave of the Fireflies was shown in theaters as a double feature with My Neighbor Totoro for a reason.. mostly because if you have any form of human empathy it kicks you directly in the soul.
