I just remembered one thing that's been my MO ever since then. A pic with a pizza that has obscene amounts of bacon and the story behind it.

Quote
The pizza parlor asked for special requests and I said "Just fuck that shit up with bacon" and he said "I'm 'bout to murder that motherfucker with bacon"

Also, I find that "Just fuck me up" is the only appropriate response to girl scout cookies.

There's only a certain number of notes. If you think pop country is more formulaic than basically any other kind of music you're pretty much delusional.

I don't play any instruments, so my point is that the human voice has more range and timbres than just the one displayed in those songs, there are more ways to structure a song than guitar solo/verse/chorus/same guitar solo/chorus x2, and the fact that large parts of the lyrics are the same.

Look, there are only so many words you can use to describe your truck, blue jeans and budweiser. And sometimes nature/blowing nature's head off with a shotgun.

Though I don't think it's any worse than pop songs, especially pop songs about partying or ones that use seemingly made-up nonsense words.

With that baseball thing... Was the batsman out with that catch? Like "caught & bowled" in cricket?:
Don't ask me why it is "caught & bowled" when the bowling precedes the catching. Few things about cricket's arcane rituals make sense.

Obviously you weren't watching the APBL.

Yes, the pitcher caught the line drive for the out.

Because the way the batsman got out comes before the name of the bowler.

If anyone ever tries to say pop country isn't 100% formulaic

Sigh.

There's only a certain number of notes. If you think pop country is more formulaic than basically any other kind of music you're pretty much delusional.

Nope. That's like saying that Bach is the same as King Crimson is the same as Black Sabbath is the same as Johnny Cash is the same as Taylor Swift.

I wasn't saying all music has the same formula. I was saying all musics have a formula. There are those at the bleeding edge of those boundaries, obviously, but in any genre there will be a weighty proportion that sounds exactly the fucking same.

Racist.

Heh, I actually don't like chocolate that much. I could live without it, but if it's around I'll have a bit. I do have this white chocolate liqueur that I haven't had the chance to use yet. I don't go to fancy enough parties to use it :/

Speaking of chocolate, is it getting sweeter or am I just getting older? I'd love to find a package from 20 years ago and compare the sugar content to stuff that's out now. I swear there's more sugar in it. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but the stuff that I used to like once in a while I can't even stomach any more.

Well, there's not as much actual chocolate in "chocolate" anymore. Shortages of cocoa and whatnot.

Chocolate is still the same here in australia.

As for that pool.
Perhaps that's to prevent swimming with stingers and other tropical nasties.
Plus swimming in the tropical sea is not all it's cracked up to be.
It's like having a lukewarm bath.

Mmmmm.....that sounds awesome. My favorite cookie is tied between white chip macadamia nut or those delicious wafer thin cookies that are kinda chewy and are dipped in chocolate and caramel. I wish I knew what they were called! I just know they're delightful and they come in those assorted cookie tins.

I'm not a huge fan of chocolate in general- I prefer sweet and chewy candies like jelly beans and swedish fish. If I want chocolate, it generally has stuff in it- caramel, coconut, pretzel, peanut butter, etc.

EDIT: omg omg I found them!!

They are called lace florentine cookies. Mmmmmm. Google also reminded me that they are sometimes stacked and made into sandwiches with a creamy mashmallowy filling. Those are also amazing.

Not artificial. Still, has much less sweetening than sugary chocolate. Like, much much less.

On the topic of the blue dress, I now can't get "Black and Yellow" out of my mind. Curse you forumites.
