For some reason that last panel of today's strip (5/11) seems to have a subtext of Sarah thinking: "Please don't try to make me feel better, Dina. I don't want to feel better; I don't deserve it."

I just need to point out that I blame you all for my discovering DoA and binging through the entire thing yesterday.

For the kindest values of blame, of course. ;)

Did that last weekend. Had a little cry when the 'next' icon was greyed out as I had come up to the latest strip.

Looks like she will

BTW, has anyone else had a loading issue with the comic the last few days?  I don't know if it's me or not, but for the last three or four days when I go to the Comic Site, it seems to 'hang'  on an empty screen for a minute or two, then suddenly it loads in a rush.

Well, Danny got to Ethan first, and we'll see how this little confession-of-desire unfolds. I hope for positive, that Danny and Ethan enjoy each other very awkwardly, fumblingly, for a short time, but expect Ethan to back away quickly.

Why did Willis go and make things so complicated?

I'm guessing that it is because he gets a deep and profound pleasure from watching our reaction.

It just occurred to me that Jacob was also there for the part where they were discussing Amber AS Amazi-girl, using both names, so they also outed her. This seems the more likely thing he'd tell people about. I doubt he will, but I expect there will be more reason given for him to keep quiet.

Today (5/18) is the day when Mary realises that she has made very few friends and many enemies who would be only too pleased to help Carla play with her head.

And the beautiful thing about this revenge is that Carla won't even have to do anything to Mary. She's going to be a nervous wreck by the end of the week trying to anticipate what horrible thing Carla has planned...

If there IS a god, and He is truly just, he fucking hates Mary, I'm sure of it, though I'm only well-versed in Judeo-Christian thelogy with a moderate speckling of islamic knowledge. Jesus spoke against judgment, but regarding Mary, my only sin is observing her judgmental shit.

Honestly, for the longest time that's pretty much how I felt. Survival was a day to day thing, no guarantees. I never figured I would make it to the ripe old age of 30, much less where I am now. Truth is, I still feel that way a lot of the time. The rest of the time I just don't think about it.

Um... am I the only one who's been having spotty luck with the DoA website for a week or so now? Sometimes (more often than not) it doesn't load beyond the front page, making it impossible to use the comments. This morning, I'm getting a 'server takes too long to respond' error in place of the site.

[Edit]
Well, it's up now with 160+ comments (this only about 90 minutes after the strip was posted). The only explanation I can think of is that there were so many requests being sent to the server that it was, in effect, a non-malicious DoS attack.

Congratulations, Willis! Your strip really is that popular! :D
