I actually think "Anna" is how "Tai" would look if Willis was to do a "guest artist" slot....

Oh and.... CALLED IT !!!   :)

I suspect that this is one reason that Leslie and Mindy need Becky to set them up - It's the only way they'll shake off their abusive exes (Robin and Anne respectively).

I disagree, MoM, Robin's behavior is totally abusive.

Not an ex gf, but definitely an ex crush, someone she was, until recently, quite hung up on

Robin is just, well, Robin. She is basically the only character that has kept the insanity of the Walkyverse in the more realistic Dumbingverse.

Willis and Jeph are friends; they may have collaborated on character design. I'm serious.
If not collaborated, at the very least subconciously influenced each other.

That doesn't make her behavior any less abusive. I know nothing of her previous incarnation, but her behavior in this universe is clearly abusive.

a more realistic world.
I read the first few years of the Walkyverse, so I know this is true from a relative standpoint, but...come on, are we really calling DoA realistic? Or saying that Robin's anywhere close to the wackiest?

Well, more realistic than the Walkyverse, at the very least. Way more. And I don't think anyone acts as "wacky" as her in DoA either. Specially considering she's not one of the teenage characters.

Mary is human, despite her behaviour. I'm wondering if she's in love (or at least is telling herself that she's in love). It wouldn't surprise me if she came to IU with the same implicit parental objective that Joyce did - To find a husband. She may have recently succeeded in finding a boyfriend and is suddenly learning that the whole world can be all sweetness and light.

Wasn't it stabilished that Mary is happy because whatever leverage she though she lost against Billy is now back thanks to Ruth being kept as R.A?

I don't see why Carla wouldn't be on the list.

As immature as Joe is, he doesn't really strike me as transphobic. Dunno why.
Well, it's not like Carla would be into him, anyway. At least not sexually.

I think whatever she did could be considered self defense, so my money is mental health institution.

The problem is that with the speed the time advances in this comic, we might not see her for a while.

Also I've had people say to me what Walky's saying in the first panel and ooh, that hits close to home.

Today's strip (7/4) reminds us that Walky is one of those special guys who doesn't know anything about some subjects beyond some misremembered trivia but treats this nonsense as the be-all and end-all of knowledge on the subject. They pursue this delusion to the point where they spend time idiotsplaining to people who really know something about the subject why they're wrong.

It's nice how Walky is so supportive of Dorothy, but I can't help but think their relationship is as doomed as Danny/Amber/Amazi-Girl was.

I've met a lot of people like Walky back in college, who simply can't deal with the fact they have to actually put in some effort to get good grades. Most of them dropped out like flies after the first year was up.

Actually, there only has to be one: Amber O'Malley. I suspect that Joe being a completely insensitive misogynist towards her will be the catalyst by which Willis chooses to explain what happened to Ryan, its consequences to Amber and how it is affecting her relationships with others.
