"My batteries are low.  And it's getting dark."  -- Opportunity rover, signing off.  This was the last message received.

Well, of course Opportunity didn't send it in English.  But that's a decent translation of the last message received.

I actually teared up when I read that.  Something about valiantly facing the end.  Of course I'm anthropomorphizing.

Rest in peace, little guy.  You've served long and faithfully and well, and you will be remembered with honor.

Semmelweiss was an interesting story.

It occurs to me that more people should be furious about parliamentary dishonesty: "Rage, rage, against the lying of the Diet".

A thing I like about Pixar shorts is that mostly they need no translation.  The people in them usually have no speaking roles, and cats everywhere purr in the same language. Likewise dogs.

Context: The next pokemon game is suppose to take place in the UK. One of the playable characters looks Scottish to fans, and so this meme was born:

I have a switch so I think this will be the first pokemon game I've played since gen 2 (and fire red, but its just an improved version of Gen1 Red) and I think I am going to pick her over the bland looking dude. The internet has given her quite the personality.

@Case: its XP Share or Exp Share. It allows the pokemon holding it to get experience if a different one is fighting. A good way to level up small pokemon while you use a stronger one to actually fight.

In my head she sounds like Merida from Brave if she had the attitude of the Scottsman from Samurai Jack and the wit of Scottish Twitter.
