We were all wrong all along. Officer Lilac wasn't after the arena...

She was after Pintsize.

(Joking, obviously, but honestly, now that I said it, it is kind of funny.)

Into your life it will creep
It starts when your always afraid

I like the way Faye acts around Bubbles and I like the fact that Bubbles is actually comfortable enough around Faye now for her to let her get away with things like that.

I do wonder why Marten didn't call Marigold. She's fixed Pintsize before.

Perhaps this time, the damage is more substantial and beyond what Marigold can do.  Perhaps she is busy spending time with Dale.

Or, you know, Marten now has a trained robot repair technician living in his apartment.

Marigold does software work. Faye does hardware. Pintsize had his head kicked in, he didn't download a virus that we know of.

Marigold does hardware too: see http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1457. I figure she'd be closer and, you know, not at work.

Faye is much closer to a professional in the field and better qualified to assess and correct damage though with it being her day job. Marigold was able to knock out dents but Faye could replace parts and do metalwork if needed. Marten probably just told her of the situation and asked for her help and she happens to be free at that moment, rather than asked her to leave work. Plus Faye is more likely to do it out of friendship and not ask for payment like Marigold did before, not that she wouldn't be entitled to payment.

Okay, everyone sing along with me:

o/~ Pintsize got run over by a reindeer! o/~

So, how did Fairy Girl know where to bring Pintisize? I've got a feeling that Marten has soldered a plate to Pintsize that says something like: "If found, please return Pintsize to Apartment 22, 141 Dwight Street, Northamton, MA and I apologise in advance for whatever he did."

Or maaaaybe she just asked him where he lives...

That's hard to do in a language limited to "la", "le", "li", "lo" ,and "lu".
Well, she DID respond to and speak English  once.

Say... where did that black hat come from? Fairy Girl + reindeer didn't have it when Hanners saw her in front of CoD.

Poll Results Post
--------------------------------------
It's Snowing Again! What was the most important or memorable event in the past in-universe year?

1. The Fayepocalypse (Being fired and the aftermath) - 33 (35.5%)
2. The greater focus on the AIs and their distinct views and society - 21 (22.6%
3. The Claireten Arc - 15 (16.1%)
4. The Space Station Arc - 11 (11.8%)
5. The Dorapocalypse - 5 (5.4%)
=6. The Faye + Angus character arc - 3 (3.2%)
=6. Veronica moving to Northhampton - 3 (3.2%)
8. Dora's healing with Tai's help - 2 (2.2%)

Well, all I can say is that Faye and her tribulations must have struck a chord. Her character development is, by a clear margin, the most important thing that happened in the comic in the last 2000 or so strips. The runner-up reminds us just how many sci-fi fans (nerds) there are in this fandom, something I proudly admit to being myself!

Well, all I can say is that Faye and her tribulations must have struck a chord. [...]

I think just about anyone would say that Faye was the most broken of the lot. And she's come a long way since her unconscious-drunk episode. She's stopped drinking and even come through a crisis where she might well have started again. So, yeah.

That she's now an ongoing accessory to an ongoing crime (being paid with gambling proceeds and all) isn't necessarily a good development for her long-term, but that wasn't the poll question. "Memorable and/or important", her arc has definitely been.
