I'm talking about the current state of things.

And still harbouring some feelings for a long-term crush isn't antithetical to having a healthy relationship with your current partner. Whatever residual feelings she may have for Joyce, there nothing indicating her feelings for Dina are less than genuine.

'Current state'....?
Well, not looking too deeply into it, but how long has actually passed since Becky's "overcompensation" for realising she still has those feelings?
(Don;t get me wrong - out of the cast they certainly have one of the more healthiest relationships... but there's healthy and there's Healthy...

Damn, Amber (Damnber?), for someone who was currently born in 2001 or 2002, you're being kind of a boomer.

I kind of like it; it has the feel of a time-lapse sequence in a cartoon. It gets the point across that time is passing. When we next see the characters, 90+ days will have passed in their lives.

Possibility: The first post-time-lapse strip will be Mike awaking and being... nice. Willis plays with the 'only nice when he's drunk' thing from the Walkyverse by having Mike's head injury causing permanent alterations to his personality that makes everyone feel bad for liking new!Mike more than classic!Mike. Mike, being Mike, insists that he'd been changing anyway and that they're all being self-absorbed idiots about the whole thing.

True, but the same thing could have been down with a two frame strip. ;)

Me reading yesterday's strip: October?! Wow everything that went down was in the span of a about a month and a half.

Today's strip:

Joyce Brown by Jeph Jaques

Joyce realises that Marten's mother is more morally honest than hers

Faye attended Indiana University, confirming that the DoA and QC cast are about the same age.

I may be wrong but I seem to remember Joyce and Dorothy as customers at Coffee of Doom just once.

Don't know about Joyce and Dorothy, but Amber has been there before (albeit the version from Shortpacked, not DoA).

I actually found more humour in the synching up of the "It's Walky/ Walky and Joyce" strips with Joyce screaming HUSSY! at Dorothy...
and these strips - with Joyce throwing herself all over her :)

I had forgotten that Michael B. Jordan is referenced in today's comic, and my brain was trying to figure out what MBJ means. It somehow settled on "My Bad Joyce". This is what I get for quitting drinking coffee in the morning.  :psyduck:

So far as we know.  Willis likes torturing his readers even more than Jeph does.

Willis long ago expressed his reluctance to have a plot like this because he didn't want to deal with the fan backlash. It looks like he chose to deal with this by doing it off-screen during a time-skip and have it addressed only in passing in-strip.

Why would Mike be in hiding?
The only person interested in doing him harm was the arse who was killed ny the mob he was a part of...?

In other news.
Way to anti-climax an already anti-climactic story.
(I haz a dissapoint - WIllis is better than this... generally.)
