I'm like the "perfect" combination of Marten's passivity and Walky's immaturity.

I thought this enough times when reading DoA and now it's time to put it in writing: Amber, stop blaming yourself for everyone else's bad choices and for the fact that your father's abuse made you sick.

Blathers is the best. In case anyone doesn't play Animal Crossing, he's an adorable owl that loves fish/ancient creatures and hates bugs. Also the museum is open 24 hours so naturally he's sleeping if you walk in during the day and gets a bit startled if you wake him (pictured below).

I sort of hope that today's strip is a precursor of a dream sequence where Bonnie tells Becky that she's going in the right direction and that, yes, everything will be okay in the end.

I don't know if I've mentioned this here before but I'd be interested in knowing everyone's opinion. Carol's continual steadfast defence of Ross makes me wonder: does anyone else think that she'd been having an affair with him? Maybe for a while; as long ago as Bonnie's death? Could that be a motivation for both of them to be extra-puritan and for Carol to back up Ross to the bitter end, a sense of personal guilt?

Which is why, just as Carol gleefully swears and then pretends she never does, she'll get divorced and then claim that as a Christian, she is without fault and Hank deserves the entire blame.

More likely, she'll blame Joyce, Jordan and 'Joseph' for twisting Hank's perceptions, wicked and ungrateful children that they are. Ultimately, of course, she'll contrive to blame Becky. Everything will somehow be her fault.

Come now, Blaine. Don't tell me that you didn't realise that this was a possibility? You've cost the mob a lot of favours and embarrassment today. I'm sure you must have guessed that Asher's grandfather would want to send a message about not letting low-level operatives using Family resources for their personal 'business'?

Wait...is he making him "eat the gun."  :psyduck: What does this mean for Amber? Does the mob choose to leave her alone?

It's quite possible that the mob may target her because she's been a minor irritation (taking out the occasional dealer or Family-aligned pimp). The irony is that by moving against her, they will actually guarantee a more focussed effort by Amazi-Girl against them and their police contacts. After all, I think that Amber and Mazie were retiring beforehand. However, if the mob makes it clear that they want a fight, they may feel that they have no choice!

I'm kind of surprised we just blew past Joyce's dad saying "nice set of tits" without much of a reaction from Joyce. I figured it would be the first time she heard her dad say something like that.

Also, hope Mike's alright. Especially if Blaine told that cop about "everything" which would include Mike knowing about the mob ties.

Robin is in many ways a reflection of the entire US political system - Vain, workshy and generally only in it for the power and other rewards. However, given enough time and, after exhausting every other option, she will do the right thing.

Like the US political system, she is occasionally wrong-footed into saving the innocent because of her self-image of being basically the good guy.

The only thing that makes Robin's any better than Blaine or Carol is that she doesn't hurt people on purpose. She just pursues her own self-interest and doesn't care, or even notice, who gets hurt along the way. She is indifferent rather than malicious.

How did Ruth and Billie end up being the healthiest relationship in this comic? Not that I am complaining, I love these two dumbasses.
