I'm also considering a change but haven't had this nearly as long. Just not attached to this name anymore.

Happy new year!

May the best ye've ever seen,
be the worst ye'll ever see.
May the moose ne'er leave yer girnal
wi' a teardrap in his e'e.
May ye aye keep hale an' herty,
till ye're auld enough tae dee.
May ye aye be jist as happy
as I wish ye now tae be!

You know, things like this are easier to read if you know the dialect/accent. Also, I had to look up what "girnal" means.

Yup!
I'm always ready to spread the richness of Auld Scots.
(Cos, you know.. I'm an auld Scot!) :)

But, better to make you work for it - so you gain the personal pleasure of research and discovery - than just lay it out there!
(After all - Mr Burns didn't leave "english equivalents" in his original works!)

Alternate method... just read it in the voice of Groundskeeper Willie.
Then all you'll have to worry about is "girnal"!

(And I just realised I used Mr Burns (Robert) and Groundskeeper Wullie in the same post...
Without this aside - that *could* be confusing!!)  :)
