Dammit, I knew that dog joke was going to trigger a Monty Python cascade.  Now stop that, it's silly.
It's not silly, it's a very naughty thread!---And now for something completely different:
Human siblinghood is idemparentality e.g. I'm selfsibling; cybrid siblinghood being idemcrèchality, Lemon's 1stprime5thprime'd include Lemon.

I suspect that's one of those oft repeated but often underexplored memetic pop-opinions people tend to repeat. Like 'I hate country music' or 'black licorice is gross'[1]. Fun fact, I've given folks[2] who say they hate black licorice black licorice[3] and they actually liked it. Two of them straight up asked me what it was because they'd never tasted it before.

"licorice"
No specifics at all. Not even singling out a single flavor, brand, or styling.

That's author bias.

Licorice is the specific flavor: from Glycyrrhiza glabra or Glycyrrhiza lepidota plant. And if that's what was meant, it's not bias at all because it would mean the flavor generally. Although this may be more a case of maturing palate, because I hated licorice as a kid but now I love it. Unless there really was some innovations in the licorice plant that I'm not aware of.

"Well it looks like she hates it."
"Yes, that is it! I hate this!" sniffs "Ew, yes! I hate this! It is revolting!"
"More?"
"Please."

There's tons of candy that presents itself as [x fruit] licorice (strawberry, cherry, mango, etc).

EDIT: Huh. I didn't realize open bracket x close bracket made bullet points.
