I use webshots and let it pick a new desktop every day.  I've collected hundreds ranging from TV shows, movies, games, comics and just scenery type pics.  This is one of my favorites.

I've had this desktop for ages ( well it's summer now and it didn't snow last winter :) )
I don't really notice it, but i have darn cute little kitty on my desktop. Snapped by yours truly.
Icons everywhere. I had a toolbar but gave up on trying to make it stay there and organise it and all.

Do tell me if it dosn't work.

Don't mess with the eyebrows.  for they are key.  Without them, he is reduced to an emasculated husk of his former self.  The eyebrows are both his strength, and his weakness.

Try Style XP for desktop themes.  Also; if you feel like looking at an un-thumbnailed gallery of background images, I have a few on my site.

I see a lot of PC users have Mac-like docks on their desktops.
I've got one, too, but it's not nearly as clean/pretty/awesome as what I'm seeing.

What program do you recommend??

ObjectDock is probably the most widely used one. It's the one i've got on my desktop at the top of this page. It's pretty good, but make sure you've got the RAM to spare, as it almost brought my computer to a standstill, and i've had to stop using it. If you do get it, download the pro version as a torrent.

Y'z Dock is an alternative for slightly less memory use. The trade off is slightly less function and no further upgrades since the makers got sued. Google to find it

EDIT: okay, I checked that link... the pic's actually a lot bigger than that, and took forever to upload onto photbucket, I have no idea why it's that small. But anyway, that's my latest...

I think Photobucket resizes images for some random reason.

I am currently using this:

But it's starting to bug me so I'm looking for another one.

I think your problems stem from the fact that it's a .bmp file, which is perhaps what caused it to take forever to upload (because bitmaps are fucking huge) and possibly what caused photobucket to resize it.

Convert it to a .jpg or something.

I used to have a dark, angry theme like that. I was generally depressed and angsty at the time. When I changed it to something light and generally happy, my mood picked up and I wasn't a whiney emo bastard anymore. I'm still not sure how much of the change in mood was because of that.

Currently though, I'm going for light and sad:

.bmp  files don't work in IMG tags, dude - the only valid file types (that I know of) are .jpg .gif and .png

Anyway, my new desktop, link'd because of size:

I took that using my camera. Can anyone guess what it is?

I'll have a nice new Desktop very soon now. My boss just ordered a nice 24" LCD monitor for me, to replace my ageing 20" CRT. So instead of having twin 1600*1200 screens, I'll have 1 1600*1200, and 1 1900*1200.

4.2 Megapixels of screen. *drool*
