True, that's a fine song (after all: I'm Australian - I have to like Eric Bogle, it's in the Constitution) and I was actually thinking about it when I made that post.  However "Everywhere" is, I think, the better of the two songs: it's a bit wider in scope.

If you don't have a copy of the song, I'd be happy to send you one!

Venom - Buried Alive

The intro to this track owns all.

"I'm alive but dead, awake but asleep
As friend gather round and mourners they weep
My mind thinks of all the things I have done
My body is cold but my heart beat goes on
And on................ AND OOOONNNN!!!"

Just black metal vocals, a piano and a saxophone, with a few samples and effects. Fucking brilliant.

Arsis - The Sadistic Motives Behind Bereavment Letters

This Song > You

"(Now here's where I should say that "he's in a better place"
but on the day he died, I could have sworn)
There came the strangest sound...
It was as if the whole of Heaven,
Came crumbling fucking down!

His last words shall shine in truthfulness:
"I hate you all!"
Scattered with his ashes upon your guilt...Your guilt!"
