I'm going to say MST3K and Northern Exposure.

I just bought the first season of Northern Exposure on D.V.D.  I'm so chuffed!  Next pay-cheque: season 2.

I can't believe it first aired in 1990, though.  MAN does that make me feel old.

Actually, it's the fact that 1990 was 16 years ago that makes me feel old . . .

When I was younger I had a huge crush on Melissa Joan Hart, so Clarissa Explains it All and Sabrina were some of my favourite shows.

...On the playground was where I spent most of my days!

I still watch the Fresh Prince and Roseanne on Nick at Night.

I was way into beast wars and sailor moon in the 90's, as they were what was on when i woke up at 5:30. That and the honeymooners.

Having never seen the X-Files before, I've been slowly working my way through it since just after Christmas. I've just watched the episode with the people dieing from lightening (D.P.O.).

I'm told that seasons 3, 4 and 5 are the best. True?

Just make sure you skip all the episodes that deal with aliens and government conspiracies.  The best X-Files episodes are the funny ones, where David Duchovny plays Mulder as an enormous nerd and Gillian Anderson plays Scully all sarcastic and droll and "I can't believe he's such a nerd."  And then in the middle of it all they have some crazy monster.

did it really? I must have missed out on nine of them, i tried to download the episodes but I could only find one season.

Well, you could always buy every single episode of all 10 series + 'Season 0' which was called KTMA (155 Shows) on DVDR here for the low, low price of $750. Jesus Christ that's a lot of money.

or find yourself a completely dorky and nerdy (also, at least 30 years old) friend from minneapolis who happened to tape the cable access shows, and then bribe them with lots of alcohol and unopened star trek figurines.
during my first time around in college, i met one of these dorks.  her name was laurel, and she had taken a tour of the studio once, and got one of the waffle props from episode #317.
i'm pretty sure she still lives in someone's basement and has to put SPF 5 gagillion on before hitting any sort of natural light at all.

still.  mst3k was the only redeeming thing about the 90s.

the song medley on star force: fugitive alien II was to die for.

was Count Duckula in the 90s? I think it was.. might've been 80s tho.. eh..

Most of the old Nick shows people have already mentioned..

the original Power Rangers.. except when I was little me and my cousin were fooling around pretending we were power rangers and he accidentally broke my arm.. didn't really watch the show much after that.. lol.

Even though it didn't start in the 90s and it's still on today, I remember watching The Price is Right with my Dad during that time period.. heh..

I guess I was a weird kid.

I had a friend who always was the Pink Ranger when we played (I was the blue one), I haven't seen him i years but last I heard he was as gay as the two seasons Will and Grace spent on the 90s.

Also: James Bond Jr owned me so hard. I still have the SNES game and old Beta tapes with some episodes as well as the fucking Samurai Pizza Cats.

The 90s also contained Freakazoid!

And however hot Mellissa Joan Hart was she can't stand up to Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars), although Elisha Cuthbert did host Popular Mechanics for Kids.

Pokemon WAS an amazing show, especially if you happened to be a kid at the time. Of course, I can only speak of the show pre-Silver and Gold era. I lost track after that. Basically, if you didn't buy the game right away, you'd miss out on all the new pokemon, and you get over whelmed, and so you end up waiting till you get it, but they don't show reruns, and you're all like, "FUCK", but you're still like, 8, so you're all like, "MAAAAN".

Yeah.

When I was a kid, it didn't get better than The Tick.  Although The Adventures of Pete and Pete were up there.  When I got a little older, Mystery Science Theater 3000 also gave me loads of entertainment.  Oh, and King of the Hill.  Great stuff.

Anything on Nickelodeon and Kid's WB.  Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Seinfeld (ha, I still watch re-runs on Fox and TBS), Fresh Prince, and Daria (at least I think it was in the 90s?) were some of my favorites, too.

Here are mine.
The ones already mentioned:
-Duckman
-The Tick (I hear the live-action show didn't suck nearly as hard as I thought it did, but I've never seen it)
-Power Rangers
-Brimstone (I'm totally with you on the shittiness of that cancellation)
-MST3K
-Pokemon
-Bill Nye the Science Guy
-Square One
-Young Indiana Jones
-Start Trek the Next Generation (my vote as the greatest Start Trek show ever, I remember the last episode, and talking about it on the bus the day after)
-Dinosaurs

Unmentioned (as far as I can tell):
-The Critic (come on guys, what's wrong with you?)
-Highlander (theme song by Queen, and Adrian Paul being a badass...Scottsman?)
-Due South (just the first couple of seasons, it got really stupid when they replaced the detective)
-Stargate SG-1 (yeah, it still runs, but it started during the 90's)
-The Simpsons (obvious, but it bears mentioning because the 90's was back when it was good)

Probably tons more, but it's late and I'm tired.

I watched a few episodes of the live-action Tick, and it was decent overall, with some episodes pretty blah, and others pretty funny.  Nowhere near as timeless as the cartoon, but it should've gotten another season, it might've been able to be a little less erratic.  I don't remember a lot of details anymore though, which says something about the show too, since the cartoon was much older and yet sticks out in my mind much clearer.

TNG is the ultimate in television entertainment. Also, Wil Wheaton (a.k.a. Wesley Crusher) is a really cool guy. He's on Fark every so often and his blog/site/whatever the hell it is is fairly amusing.

I also loved roundhouse! Where the hell can I buy some of those episodes? Easily one of the best shows on TV, and THE best live-action show on Nick. (Old All That is a close second.)
