Hey Jeph, any chance I can be the drummer for Marten's band?

I've played for over half my life (10 years), and I'm fairly ok.

1) If your characters were real, which of the girls do you think you would be most attracted to?

2) What is you favorite newspaper-type comic (as in the funnies)?

3) Have you ever been to Vegas?  What's your opinion on it?

Hey Jeph-

Given this is a magical week in the Austin indie world, have you ever been here for SXSW? If so, what did you think?

What do you think of your fellow Massachusetts-ites (Massachusettsans? Massachusettszors?) The Dresden Dolls?

Since there's not a chance in hell that I'll get in to see Mogwai (who are playing immediately after Belle and Sebastian at the same venue), would you suggest seeing +/-, who I've never seen live, or go see Austin locals Trail of Dead, who I know will rip shit up?

Are we eventually gonna get band t-shirts for Deathm0le? What is it about comics and bands that start with Death (Bloom County's Deathtongue)?

Thanks for all your hard work.

Hey Jeph-dude, I was curious... I'm kinda new to reading your comic (Lovin it, by the by), and I recently finished reading through the whole archives. Anyhow, I just realized that every single girl has their hair cut short.  This made me curious. Do you personally like short hair more versus long hair, or do you just tend to draw short-haired girls?

Yes, this is a silly question.

I'm guessing short hair is just easier and quicker to draw, but Jeph probably has a better answer than that... that involves a monstrous plot line that basically says that the hair cannot grow beyond a certain length or the bus will blow up.

I've seen you make a Metal Gear Solid reference in a comic so...

Which Metal gear games have you played(if any) and impressions (good bad okay?)

also Which systems do you have and or do you favor computer games?

also are you getting any next gen systems (or maybe already have X360?)

Hey Jeph, I have a drawing question, actually..

How do you keep your lines so straight? I don't mean only in straight lines, I mean face, hair, pretty much everything. It isn't choppy at all. Do you just have an extremely steady hand?

Question: You made the original size available of that picture of Dora and Marten sitting next to each other- would it be possible for you to do the same with panel two of today's comic (#592)? I think it'd make an excellent background (maybe even without the speech bubbles, if possible).

Thanks for the new background, Jeph. It's so big that when it's set on center, all you see is half of both of their heads, it looks really really cool.

Also, thank you for Woman King and Our Endless Numbered Days by Iron and Wine being in RL. I had a chance to obtain them today. Holy crap, I thought that Creek Drank The Cradle was good.

One more thing, I was thinking today that Sam Beam should do a cover of Blackbird by the Beatles, all Foo Fighters acoustic style. Am I crazy, or do you think this could sound good?

Have you heard of the Chinatown bus?

You can use it to get between New York, Boston, Philly, DC, and a bunch of other cities on the east coast for very cheap. For instance, you'd be able to get from Boston to New York for only fifteen bucks, and back for only fifteen. And hardly anyone ever dies on Chinatown bus, it's almost as rare as a shark attack!!

Almost!

Here's a useful database on chinatown buslines:
http://www.staticleap.com/chinatownbus/

And here's a fifteen dollar deal between New York and Boston:

What does this 'notorious nurr' thing mean?  And have you been to Australia? Does the popularity of your comic still surprise you? And last, have you studied any psychology? You seem to be unnaturally perceptive and articulate on emotional issues.. which is one of the things I Love about this comic.
