Hey Jeph what do you think of Fleetwood Mac circa Rumours and Tusk?

I hear they're pretty great but I am awful at listening to any music recorded before 1980 for some weird reason

Dora's change of hair color was extensively discussed in the Dora's Hair!!!! thread, in which Jeph actually made one comment.

Of course, his comment wasn't about the reason for her hair change, just about how some people didn't like it.  But I think everyone else hashed the reason out fine on their (our) own.

No, that's brain cells.

On a different topic, Jeph: is Yelling Bird based on anyone/anything in real life?

(If you've already answered a similar question, my apologies; I haven't waded through the rest of this forum.)

Two Questions:
1) What is the computer that you use to draw on (I know it is a mac, but is it a Pro macBook, powerBook)?
2) Do you own any other computers (if so what are they)?

I'm a bit of a computer nerd, and was just wondering....

He draws using a Mac Pro (and also uses that computer for making ROKK). It's in the comic's "about" section, and the link for that is significantly larger and more prominent than the link that takes you to the forums.

You never know what to expect from guest strips, sometimes they are good, sometimes not, get over it. It's not like all of QC is ruined forever because of one guest strip.

Dude Toba there's this tree at my old high school that had this knothole that looked exactly like a vulva, and there was a clit on the very top. I always wanted to take a power drill and put a hole in there just for added realism.

It's only a few strips: low-res doesn't refer to the earlier art style, it means some of the original drawing files are missing and the comic archive format won't scale up well for the book. All is explained here.

Hey Jeph,
Last time I asked a question I was trying to make it funny but I'm more socially awkward than Marigold and Hannelore combined and it turned out to be really awkward and not as clever as I thought it would be. My question this time comes in three parts:
1. Do you get a lot of awkward questions from people that give off a 'I'm putting an honest effort into being friendly/humorous/show how much I am in awe of you but HURR HURR I SO AWKWARD DO U LIEK BUTTZ LOL' sort of vibe? Like, they're kind of stupid but at the same time it's obvious that they screwed up in the delivery or something? (which I'm pretty sure I'm doing now but oh well)
2. What's it like to get those kinds of questions? Like, does it happen often enough that you're just like 'oh, okay, you're just having an 'awkward' moment, no big deal' or is it rare enough that you're like 'oh, okay, uh... thanks?/sure?' Or does it happen often but you still get that 'oh, uh, this is awkward' feeling because of the awkwardness?
3. Is this question one of those awkward questions I described in part 1? (I'm pretty sure the answer is yes but oh well)

Dude, that 's not a pun.  It's an ancient saying with modern double-entendre.

Can't believe you hadn't heard it before - the British have more fun with it considering the slang term "bird".
