Argh, I know this has probably been asked a million times, but how do you pronounce your name? Is it a soft "j" or a hard "j"?

'jacks' as stated somewhere towards the beginning

No no, I mean the first name.

So my question is, what is the likelihood of a new, updated cast poster that includes the new additions like Penny, Meena, Tai and Hannelore's strangely poofy hair?

Also I guess, the likelihood of a QC book in the foreseeable future? Because I would buy that book so hard.

And additional, bonus question... Who would win in an all-out, drunken bar brawl; Marten's mum, or Hanners'? (u's in your "mum"s courtesy of the mystical faraway land of Australia) And I'm just assuming that if such a brawl were to occur, Mr. Bianchi would be there with popcorn and a smile.

New poster- absolutely.
Book- eventually.
Marten's mom, without question. Hanners is a creampuff.

Think Ponk meant between Marten's mum and Hanners' mum.

I'd still give the win to Veronica here. She put the fear into Faye, and kicks people's asses for a living, so I think she's not the kinda chica you want to cross, unless you're part of her clientelle and she's on the clock to kick your ass. Or at least step on it with stilettos.

What happened to the "transcribe this comic" link?  I went looking for a comic (specifically, this one).  It is apparently not yet done, and I was feeling rather altruistic at the time.

Instead I went looking through about a hundred comics for it :-)

You've talked about wanting to make QC books. If you did, would you go back and redo some of the older strips in the newer art style?

Pretty sure this was asked somewhere in this thread before, nested with another question, and that the answer was no.

Dr Montalban, out of the blue, asked "Why do you hate black people?" That's what the fuck I'm talking about.

By far and away, I hear that question the most from black people who are themselves racist. I've never seen anything that would imply that Jeph hates black people.

Making QC content downloadable, somehow?

Hear me out.. I have the technical ability to do this, but am not sure if the technology totally exists in the podcasting world.

Anyway, I was looking at trying to reformat QC comics into something I could view on my Zune, your iPod, or maybe your Nintendo DS system, so I downloaded one comic and tried to make each panel into a 320 x 240 graphic.  It works OK... EXCEPT that it's impossible to shrink word balloons and lettering that small and make it legible.

So I was wondering, would you, Jeph, support a volunteer project to download the pictures, and have people add voiceover to provide the voices? You as creator would have to audition some folks to make sure you got the voice in your head; and maybe help with creating the art in layers so the word balloons can be removed, if you don't do that already.  The loyal QC readership would take care of the picture manipulation, voicing the words as written, and uploading the files to the site.

This would NOT be an animated QC cartoon! Just four panels, with the voices provided.

The part I'm not sure about is whether RSS/Atom/podcasts support doing pictures with voice captions.  This could be done in HTML on web pages but I don't know about podcasts.

Just sayin' it would be awesome for folks to have portable QC.

I was reading some of the older comics and i saw ellen speaking about AnthroPc's in the library who make fun of you when you try to get any acctual work done on them.

Any chance of seeing them in the comic?

PS: Love your comic! Best wishes from Estonia!

2. Would you mind if I copied every QC strip onto my ipod so I could read them whilst on holiday
3. I, uh, can't think of a third question. Bye.

Hey Jeph, I've always wondered.....what does their new place look like from a distance? Like, all we've ever seen was the door with those lines(Plastic siding?) and the inside.....is it like a house? a condo? an apparent? I have a vague feeling like its a old 1930's downtown generic two-three story building that they seem to have floating around in the downtown area most cities....you know, the kind that goes on for an entire block(ala this, but restidental)

I'm so confused.....

Dear Jeph,

Do you spend a lot of time obsessing over how to dress your characters each Questionable Content morning? I imagine it's a lot more stressful than dressing one's self, since the clothes you put on them could potentially last for weeks in real time! On the other hand, their wardrobes are functionally unlimited, and there's no need to worry over their clothing making them look fat or lumpy.

This is the substance of my preoccupations.
