Don't own a Wii or the game personally. I have a friend who lives down the block with one but he works weird hours so I only get to play it twice a week or so.

While you can say what you want in quarters with your friends if that's how you guys are, it's pretty ridiculous to assume that a word like that isn't going to offend someone. It's really not much different from dropping the N-Bomb. There are certain words I'll use in casual conversation that go on as inappropriate, but there are plenty of people on this forum who would be quite obviously offended by your use of such a word.
I'd recommend editing it out and just not doing it again.

It's the combination of using an offensive term AND making a sweeping derogatory statement about people who play a video game differently than you do that bugs me. It's just not cool. Some people enjoyed wavedashing and playing ridiculously high speed matches. You don't have to be a dick about it. Both games are out now. We've all won.

Well yeah, I sort of do need to be a dick about it because cheaters ruin games. Exploits = cheating = ruins games. Relenting would be giving them an inch, and they'll take a mile.
And while I'm sorry you guys got offended, I'm not going to say I was wrong here. I'm not apologetically sorry. I'm sorry you choosing to be offended by something that's not offensive. Seriously, the general amount of hypocrisy on this board drives me crazy sometimes. Posting "inappropriate materials" is supposed to be a bannable offense but after an admin/mod/whatever put a penis in her icon, it was totally kosher to post stuff like that. I tried to make a humorous spin on a birthday thread and what happened? People flamed it, and instead of it getting locked, the rest of you guys posted giant phallus in the thread, completely ridiculing me. How many politically incorrect jokes have been in the QC web-comic itself, after all?
Grow a spine and stop lecturing me. Or at the very least, stop lecturing me because it's not going to get anywhere. Growing a spine is purely for your own benefit.
