Someone with too much time collected a whole lot of 80's music videos on one website. It's giving me a major nostalgia wave.

Currently watching Danzig - Mother.

THere's some good videos on there, actually. I think Anti-Nowhere League's So What and Bauhaus' Ziggy Stardust cover make it though.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

I think the 80s is probably my least favourite decade out of the decades between now and the 60s. Based on the music, of course.

A-Ha - Take on Me and Strawberry Switchblade - Since Yesterday are both present. All concievable tests of 80'sness are thus passed.

80's = yes.

I've always said that overall, no decade has been better than others, but man I love the 80s.

I'm more of a 70s guy myself, but I sure as hell prefer the 80s to the 90s or this decade so far.

I think the good completely balances the bad in every decade. I enjoy some decades more than other's but my taste (or anyone else's)has nothing to do with the msuic being actually good or bad.

Late 80s/Early 90s weren't so bad.  I'm growing to hate the 80s less, but I'm really not fond of the era.

Not to mention that the 80s destroyed most of the good bands from the 70s.

HEY LETS ADD SYNTHS BLOL!

Synths are cool, but don't just scatter them everywhere because it's new and hip.

I, on the other, are not a "70s" fan (as in 15 minute drum solo 70s) but I can totally love Zeppelin, Punk and ABBA.

My favourite is the nineties. I'm probably biased.

Outside of that, the Sixties is the big one. Bob Dylan's greatest records AND everything worthwhile the Beatles ever released? Oh yes. As well as allsorts of other great stuff.

Well, the '80s was when synths and drum machines and sequencers and stuff became readily available (ie cheap) to musicians, so it was pretty unavoidable that people were going to want to mess about with new sounds.

Also, everyone watch The Bangles' 'Walk Like an Egyptian'. Totally hawt (especially the eyes at the 2.50 mark).

The Beatles used some of the first synthesisers on Abbey Road in 1969... I wish I could have seen where they were going to go after Here Comes The Sun and Because.
