WHAT?
First, someone steals my Merzbow joke. Fine. But now he's a fucking hipster joke?
Oh man, I cant wait untill he hears about it and comes back from the grave to skullfuck em' Japanoise style.

No, it's not what I mean. It's like, you ask for something to sleep to, someone goes 'MERZBOW OLOL'. Some love music? 'MERZBOW OLOL'. It's like the standard idiotic response to any musical query. Merzbow is the new Anal Cunt or something, it's ridiculous.

I mean, why not Whitehouse? AT LEAST HAVE SOME VARIETY GUYS JEEZ.

Someone's already mentioned Architecture in Helskini, and that works for me too.

Also, either of Kyuss's two middle albums (Blues for the Red Sun and Sky Valley) seem to do well for me.  They chill me out so completely that I can generally nod off to sleep if I'm lying down/sitting any place comfortable.

I am not sure why it does it, because the music is quite heavy.  It's rather bass-heavy and slow though, so that might have something to do with it.  I have a feeling that the same thing is why Khar's recommended Black Sabbath.  I haven't listened to much Sabbath, but what I have heard of it is kind of rolling-bass heavy.  Also, my parents would listen to Kyuss and tell me it reminded them of it.

E. Spaceman:
There is no way I would be able to fall asleep to Architecture in Helsinki. Listening to them just makes me want to dance around dorkily.

One album I've been using lately is Alarm Agents by DI6 and Boyd Rice. It's really good, it mmade me have odd dreams though. It may have been that it started playing "The MAn Who Laughs" in repeat.

Atrocity Exhibition:
Echo and the Bunnymen as well as the Cure's "Faith".

Uh dude, he's not dead.

Exciter by Depeche Mode would work for me. Possibly also chasing the ghost by Collide.
