Sleeping Music?

<< < (8/10) > >>

Equilibrius:
Most of the music that I listen to I buy for the purpose of relaxing me. That said, I try and find a night every now and then when I can fall asleep to some of my fav bands/groups (my stereo is also my alarm. I can't listen to something and have my alarm set at the same time :( ).

For those who don't mind some archaic choral stuff the Tallis Scholars have some great rennaisance stuff to sleep to (great for reading too). Delerium (but only Semantic Spaces and Karma) is also good sleep/relax music. Robert Miles' 2nd CD 23am is excellent bedtime fare. His 3rd CD Organik will likely give you Zombie horror movie dreams though. If all else fails, Eva Cassidy (R.I.P.) will definitely lull you to dreamland.

KharBevNor:
I fell asleep to Blood Axis - The Gospel of Inhumanity, Dead Can Dance - Toward the Within, Blood Axis - Blot: Sacrifice in Sweden and Sol Invictus - In  The Jaws of the Serpent on loop last night. I woke up in a sweat-drenched nightmare, but that's mainly because IT'S SO DAMN HOT.

Whoa, that must give wicked dreams.

Kwi:
I can never fall asleep to music.  I end up laying awake singing along...

But good music to chillax to:

The Microphones, The glow pt.2
Iron and Wine, Woman King
Any Sigur Ros album
Almost any Sufjuan album
Any Postal Service album (Deathcab just irritates me to no end)
Coldplay, A Rush of Blood to the Head
Bright eyes, Lua (the song)

That's what I chill to.

jarofflies:
Blind Melon- Soup can do it for me sometimes, but then its also good waking up music. The first part of Goo Goo Dolls- Dizzy Up The Girl can get me pretty sleepy, and the band The Southland has been known  to help out as well.
