Warped Tour 2006
« on: 28 Jul 2006, 06:00 »

I took the day off work yesterday and headed down to the warped tour at the Post Gazette Pavillion (I'm a Pennsylvania native). It was fun, but not really worth the 65 dollar ticket, or the 80 bucks I spent on beer. Anyone else have better or worse times at a warped tour show?

At the Post Gazette Pavillion they had at least 5 or 6 places selling drafts, a "Cuervo" pavillion with coolers in it where you could get bottles of some stuff, and a Jack vendor too.

$65 man...I ordered the ticket in May too. I think the defining moment was when we were watching Vaux, or maybe Zebrahead, who knows. Anyway, the band finishes their set, and begin the shoutouts, and the lead singer gives the following shoutout: "I'd really like to give a shoutout to Pizza right now because I'm really F***ing hungry and I want a slice of f***ing pizza right now!"

What won my Warped '05 was the massive mudfight that started after the Offspring set.
Also, only paying thirty dollars for a ticket, at the gate.

30 bucks would have been preferable to 65! We also had to pay 12 bucks for parking. I think thats just the way or large venues though. Pearl Jam was like 100 for tickets earlier this summer. I had to work for that one though. Hearing the one band sing "Lets go get a bloodtest because your kids don't look like me you lying Pennsylvania whore" was pretty priceless. Makes me wonder if that guy had dated any of my exes, sounds like the stuff they'd pull.

Wait so you're letting something that happened 10 years ago ruin your quality of life? What are you, America? :psyduck:

I'm going, but honestly, i'm not all that stoked. Every Time I Die, Comeback Kid, Alexisonfire, Moneen and HORSE The Band are all I really want to see.
