I decided this would be better suited as a discussion thread. Top ten lists are still welcome but we can also discuss any albums released this year.

Camera Obscura is really growing on me. It might crack my top 10 soon.

Haven't bought or listened to many 2006 albums; however, the three I've heard and liked are:
-The Eagles of Death Metal - Death By Sexy
-Gnarls Barkley - St. Elsewhere
-Danko Jones - Sleep Is The Enemy

I'm also looking forward to the new mc chris album, which is supposed to drop in the next couple of weeks.

I also heard something about a new Album Leaf one, don't know about that yet though, haven't heard it.

Islands is solid but it doesn't really stick out in my mind when I think of albums from this year. It's simply decent.
