Fortnight:
Sparks win with Hello Young Lovers

HURRAH

Victory party will be held in my pants.

. = ? (?)

Scytale:
I bought "A Matter of Life and Death" on the weekend and it's damn excellent, Iron Maiden have done it again. Interesting lyrics as well, most of the songs are about war, religon and death, reminds me a lot of "Somewhere in Time" the way it has the same theme running through the lyrics and Artwork.

Best songs are "Out of the Shadows", "Lord of Light", "Brighter than a Thousand Suns" and "The Legacy"

It's a lot heavier then Dance of Death and I'd even say it's more prog as well. The three guitars are utilized extremely well. It's a tough call but I'd but this at no 1 for the year at the moment.

logosmonkey:
Although not officially released I'm adding
Joanna Newsom - YS

This album is insanely good, it'll be in my collection the minute it's released.

Skittish:
New Junior Boys is great as well.

Gryff:
Hmmm. Here's five in no pertikkilar order:

TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain
The Reduction Agents - The Dance Reduction Agents
Yo La Tengo - I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass
Ghostface Killah - Fishscale
Beirut - Gulag Orkestar

Still heaps I need to listen to, such as Thom Yorke, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Shearwater, Asobi Seksu etc.
