Neko Case's Fox Confessor Brings the Flood is easily the best album of the year, in my opinion.
Decemberists, Gnarls Barkley, Destroyer, Islands, Belle & Sebastian, and Pipettes are pretty good too.

I've really been meaning to listen to the Pippettes.. I'll have to get around to it.

I have to put in a vote for The Rapture's new album. It's def. amazing.
Inlander:
New Darren Hanlon album due out here at the beginning of October. I've already heard him play some of the songs live, and they're pretty good. Definitely the album I'm most keen to hear this year.
Also, Okkervil River fans: they've put out a fantastic E.P. to coincide with their Australian tour. If you can find it, get it.

Well done sir. I say again, well done. Had no idea about that EP. The live rendition of Westfall is superb.
