Gay bands.

Finally, a reliable database of bands that I should listen to when I want to show a room just how gay things can get.

HAHAHA.  What the damn?  Ravi Shankar?  Wilco?  GHOSTFACE KILLAH?  INTERPOL?  METALLICA?  MAN OR ASTRO-MAN?!?!?!

The funniest thing is that, out of all the absurd artists on there, the only one listed as "questionable" is Morrissey.   :?

It smells very heavily of fakeness. I read a lot of christian websites for amusement, and basically, for a start, this site is very well designed and has less than one bible quote a page.

Lets just talk about bands that are queer!

Coil.

Coil were camp as a row of tents.

I HAVE PROOFS

Apparently, there is a video to 'Loves Secret Domain' that they filmed in a go-go boy bar in Bangkok. Jhonny Balance is up on stage with like 30 dancing boys. It is literally so gay that it was never released.

I mean, we're talking about something so gay that Jhonn Balance and Peter Christopherson looked at it and were like 'shit man, how much coke did we do? That's way too gay!' then they called Marc Almond, Genesis P-Orridge and Thighpaulsandra over for their opinion and they all thought it was the gayest thing they'd ever seen.

Man I love Coil.

Best gay band ever: ETHYL MEATPLOW.  I saw them open for Front 242 (my first concert ever) and it was fagtastic.  And dyketastic.

The katakana (Japanese characters) there say "boi" but i misread it as "gai" at first.  :-)  Not that that would be pronounced "gay", but still.

Actually, I'd just like to say that the Japanese word for art is "geijitsu", pronounced "gay-jitsu".  That's awesome.

I'm fairly certain that it is a fake site.  The fact that they call Oscar Wilde reformed and plenty of the artists that are listed on the page make it seem the only possibility.

Plus, if you really read that quote, I'm pretty sure he isn't talking about the gay populous. He's talking about humanity, and writers, and you know...the people he's writing for, I think. I didn't get -anything- about gay people out of that quote. It kinda pissed me off actually.

My Gaydar network is on defcon 1! If only I had a scanner, I just found that picture of Marc Almond in The Goth Bible and let me tell you it is  so intrinsically gay I think it is tinting the books monotone colour scheme pink.

Also, that thing with Trent Reznor singing Bela Lugosi's Dead...

Lol, speaking of Coils gayness, I was literally just reading this very old Alternative Press article about them and I come across this paragraph:

Quote
"It was great," Sleazy continues, living up to his name. "Marc Almond was reading poetry while John gave himself enemas of blood onstage. And Nick Cave walked out on us saying we were too gay!"

I spent some time on that site and I realized that I want to send this guy some gay porn or something to make him realize just how gay he (still) is.  On one page he says:

Quote
It is a long, lonely, desolate road, homosexuality. I've been there, friends. I know how horrible and rough that road can be. I have been called a "Faggot". You are not alone and guess what, God Loves You even if he hates your Homosexuality. You just can't stay that way. Let me help you love yourself. Follow me and together we'll C.H.O.P.S (which means changing homosexuals into ordinary people) away the Gay.

Obviously he is in denial and distances himself from his nature by calling others like himself fags and telling them that god hates them...on myspace music videos.  I got some rock hard cock links for ya, Donnie.

Dear Donnie-

There is a gay band from my area I would very much like to direct your
attention towards.  They are called Caligula Fetus Consumption.  They
are obsessed with the devil, Vikings, and the sweaty manflesh
associated with both things.  Their name evokes both depravity and
abortion.  They are disgusting.  They have a small following now, but
I have heard rumblings that they may soon become a bigger threat.
Please help us alert the parents of the young impressionable children
who will no doubt be affected by this band's message of violence and
gayness.

If you would like to confirm the discordance and monstrousness of this
band's music, I reluctantly link you to their my space:

A)  What does the star next to Boy George mean? "Wins the list"?

B)  If Oscar Wilde was a "reformed" homosexual, that sets the bar pretty damn high for "unreformed" ones.  Or do they mean his half-conscious death-bed conversion to Catholicism?

i thought that was serious at first, and it really pissed me off.  i listen to some of those bands (30 Seconds to Mars, Sufjan Stevens, Bright Eyes, etc.), and there's nothing wrong with being gay.  i have gay friends, and most of my girl friends are bisexual.  but then i started reading the thread, and it became more obvious that it's probably just a joke.  i hope it is anyways.

I liked that the Indigo Girls were on there twice.  It's like he said "Whoa, they're really gay.  Better put 'em down another time, you know, for the Lord."

I would think this was fake, but then I was convinced that the websites Fred Phelps keeps putting up were a joke until he started protesting at military funerals.  I won't link them here, because I don't want to encourage the man with extra hits.  If you're unfamiliar with Mr. Phelps, suffice it say that he has a fundamentalist baptist church, comprised chiefly of his own family members, that is soooo obsessed with hating gay people they can only be covering up for their own proclivities.  Frightening.
