Yea, I listen to big D and the Kids table, and catch 22, I've seen them with Reel Big Fish in concert several times. Gotta love ska. Thanks for the other music, converting from an emo kid new bands are a welcomed change.

more like nothing like explosions in the sky in any way other than a general lack of vocals. sorry.
for music that really is like eits, check out:
'this will destroy you' and 'september malevolence.' both are very good eits-y sounding bands.

HEY FUCK YOU MAN

Seriously, I am pretty sure if he likes DMST he will like EITS. chillax.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

heh i wasn't saying he wouldn't like dmst. he very well could. i was just pointing out that there really are very few similarities between the two bands. one sounds nothing at all like the other. it was just an observation really. sorry if it came across in an asshole-ish way.

For ska I recommend Mad Caddies. As for the rest, I don't know their work, but if somebody recommended Ted Leo, I might as well add Pavement to the list. Their styles aren't so closely related, but the instrumentation is excellent, and the production is basically par for the course for anybody who liked the albums "Agaetis Byrjun" and "Takk..." by Sigur Ros. I'll go so far as to recommend them, too, because they might as well be instrumental (unless you understand Icelandic).
