Super Paper Mario
« on: 14 Apr 2007, 16:30 »

Anyone else acquire this?

So far, it is completely justifying my Wii. Hell, the first boss alone justified it. I don't want to talk too much about it, because spoiling it might be the worst thing someone can do in their entire life, but it is one of the most fun and hilarious games I've played in a long, long time.

To get a handle on how funny it is, you pretty much have to start referencing Monkey Island or Psychonauts. The gameplay, in contrast to those games, though, is off the wall top notch number one ace incredible.

I had preordered this because I liked the first two a bunch and all of the previews seemed universally positive.

It's a total blast. I'm about halfway through World 5 at this point and loving it. If you have a Wii, you need to buy this game. Seriously.

I still can't get over how awesome flipping is. Seriously it is rad. "Oh man, a dead end, what am I gonna do? Oh well, I guess I'll just turn the entire world fucking sideways."

My boyfriend is buying this game for me in May because he is wonderful, and my little brother just got a Wii for his birthday.

OMG CANNOT WAIT

That was the best level ever. The intro to the boss fight was awesome.

Want and will buy. If anyone spoils anything I will kill them twenty times. Probably going to order very, very soon, if I have the money.

I got the game the other night and I'm STILL amazed at how well the 3-D flipping works, and how funny it is.

I want it in my pants.

i love this game so much. i think it will have a fair bit of replay value because there are so many hidden things that i know i've missed a lot in my first run-through. i'm kind of glad it's not turn-based like 1000 year door.

I just beat this! So I have to bring up this old thread. Especially since gabbly isn't working.

Minor spoilersssss ahead

Don't ruin it for yourselves, guys.

Okay, I liked the ending, it was cute in Paper Mario style. It was also sort of sad, though. Man, I'm glad I had a lot of good healing items, that ending was cinema-packed and would've been a bitch to repeat. Anyways, I was getting really peeved towards the end because I'd waited all game to see what Timpani was supposed to look like. But then, at the very end, you get to see their silhouettes... adorable. I borrowed the game so I won't be playing anymore to uncover secrets but it is sort of sad to play it, anyways, because I liked Tippi (apparently you get buy a robot like her from Francis?). Hello, I over-invest emotionally in silly video games, so sue me. Anyways, it was satisfying. A good game. Time to go back and work on Twilight Princess!
