Funk Thompson:
Yeah, the '93 show failed to leave an impression.

And really they aren't a band to see for amazing music - a few songs are brilliantly done and the stuff from At War with the Mystics is danceable and idiotically positive.  It is more Wayne's "Cult of Personality" I think.  It is an audio / visual circus now, the confetti cannons and such, capitalizing on the inebriated nature of the audience

*I* think it is an amazing show, just due to the overall euphoria of the crowd and Wayne's "Self Help Seminar" lyrics ;), but to each their own.

I've never even heard of the Muses.

Anyway gig thread, I'm seeing A Silver Mt. Zion next week. Expect copious amounts of gushing then!

Me too!  It should be an excellent show.

TheFuriousWombat:
I can't wait to see them either. Should be terrific. I'm seeing them at a place with no backstage so they'll have to pretty much be in the audience. I'm excited to hopefully meet, or at least shake the hand of, Efrim. Thoughts on the show soon.

youthcant:
anyone seen Flowers Forever? I dig 'em.  they are playing in birmingham.  I was thinking about going but, it depends on if enough money after I see Russian Circles & Daughters.  Plus the radiohead show in atl took $120 bite out of my wallet.
so, flowers forever yes or no?
