They were always influenced by space rock, but I wouldn't say those two songs were good examples of that influence.
Their 2004 album Forget Yourself however, is basically space rock.
Also, The Church are my favourite band by far.

If you think a bands is space rock and they are not wrtiting songs about spavce then chances are they have just been taking ttooooo many fucking drugs.
