Can we use Arsedestroyer instead? That way if anyone doesn't realise it's a joke they'll hear a good band instead of a rubbish one.

I'm going to recommend the first few Idlewild albums. Hope Is Important, 1000 Brokwn Windows and the Captain mini-album are all excellent examples of that kind of indie rock mixed with punk people used to do a lot back in the '90s with some entertainingly precocious lyrics. Hope Is Important is a decent effort too and might be preferable if you want a greater degree of pop sheen and more strings in the background even if it does have some quite weak songs on it. Sadly, after that album they became a sub-par version of REM and have been utter rubbish for years now.

Hey, a fellow fan! This album is absolutely incredible. They put on a killer live show too. Check 'em out for sure (although don't expect a very typical indie-rock album).
I would also recommend "No Flashlight" by Mount Eerie and "The Glow pt. 2" by The Microphones (essentially the same band (Phil Elvrum/Elverum fronts and is the only dominant member of both)).

Here's an idea: instead of making hackneyed, useless threads asking people to give you music, instead lurk on the forums and read what people talk about.  Look at the Sendspace thread.  That's what it's there for.  So you can get some music you should have.
