The most boring recommend-me-some-music thread ever
imapiratearg:
If you're going to get some Okkervil River, get Black Sheep Boy. It is such a wonderful album.
I also recommend some Stars, since you seem to like that kind of stuff. I also saw you liked Pavement so, assuming you don't already listen to them, I would recommend both old Built to Spill and Modest Mouse. For the former, anything that isn't their new album, and the latter, anything that isn't their last two albums (although, I'm quite partial to Good News for People Who Love Bad News.).
Tom:
though in reference to modest mouse's latest album, 1/4 of the album is relatively enjoyable and so is the song King Rat.
I shall recommend you some Cursive and the Good Life, Tim Kasher is a brilliant writer (music and lyrics) and musician. The music is either a little angry or angry (cursive). The later is more pop than the former.
I alos recommend Of Montreal's latest and anything with Spencer Krug in it aswell as the Tapes n' tapes.
Then there is Andrew Bird, he writes brilliant songs that hang somewhere near baroque pop and indie rock.

Is it cool to say Anal Cunt again?
I think it's cool to say Anal Cunt again.

YES. The Ugly Organ is absolutely brilliant. Their new album is pretty sick too. I guess I can't say much about Modest Mouse's new album. I've only heard "Dashboard."
