So, Hair Thread, is my new(ish) haircut a good one?

It's the first haircut I've gotten that I actually like, but I'm afraid it might be a little long in the back.

Yes. It's awesome. I dig that kind of hair on dudes! (And ladies.) Put some product in it (wax or matt paste probably) to get the piecey parts to really stand out and you have an excellent hairdo.

I'm in need of a haircut, and I have no idea what sort of thing I should go for. I got one really great haircut at the beginning of last summer, but then the place went out of business and everytime I try to describe it to a barber or stylist, they never get it right. my advice is to lose the center part. looks like your hair is pretty straight, maybe try going for the look that our new friend eric has? i agree with lunchy, i like that hair on guys a lot.

my hair is getting too long to wear down, that awkward length where it sits on my shoulders all wonky. and it is kind of blah and lifeless. ideas please?

i can dry it straight with minimal effort, but my hair has a lot of wave to it. i am thinking of trying something different. maybe an angled cut? maybe some crazy weird color? i don't know. needs to be work appropriate/professional though.

Sorry Mr Dimmukane, but you look extraordinarily like a friend of mine named Bacon. In regards to what to do with the hair to keep it low rent? The current look is fine, it actually does fit the face very well, possibly lose the sideburn's, but otherwise no improvement required.

How much wave exactly is there? Because if there's a decent amount I think it'd be pretty to cut it to chin-length, add a bunch of layers and let the waves be. Also I think I'm starting to grow too much like Dolly Parton because your hair as is looks really pretty, but if you added a ton of volume to the top it would look a little bit more cute. Not like ridiculous volume like you're in the 80's, but stick some volumizing mousse in and blow dry the top of your hair at least upside down.

So guys I got a haircut and it perhaps a bit shorter than I would have liked but frankly it was annoying me. Also recently I forgot to shave and then went home for a bit without a razor and basically I am thinking maybe I should go for a short hair/beard combo as a temporary measure? I think this is the only way I would consider growing a beard again, but I'm not sure if I should at all. Here is a photo of me with the hair cut and some stubble and the cold glazed stare of a murderer:

I would suggest using some product to give it more volume and spike it up a little? The fringe plastered to your forehead makes you look like a 12 year old.

Hah, I know what you mean. That photo was taken the day I got it cut, and I had washed it afterwards as the product the hairdresser used was not my favourite thing. Since then I've been using product to at least lift the fringe away from my forehead a bit.

And all these brosephs at my school have quiffs and it is just bleh. I want to steer clear of that territory. I dunno if I'm tru punx enough for a real mohawk.

I just put some type of product in mine and use a blow dryer on cool and my hands to put it in place, to make it more messy-looking. Possibly I little bit of a straightener inbetween.
