I am in the process of dying my hair back from pink as I have a job for 8 weeks & can't face wearing a wig for 8 hours a day & at weekends. I'm very nervous. It might go horribly wrong....

Right, QC, this summer is supposed to be a scorcher. Or so I've heard. Right now I'm fairly certain 80% of the water weight I lose from exercising is through my head, my hair is pretty thick. It has a tendency to poof out and look stupid as soon as I get out of the shower and whenever I exercise, which tends to be pretty frequently, and even moreso now that we're in the summer months. A lot of my friends as well as the girl I'm crushing on think I should go ponytail, but I think my hair is too thick for that to look any good. I've got plans to chop it off but I have no idea what kind of cut I should go for. Help me out!

This is what it looks like right now:

Since your hair is long and isn't layered or anything it weighs down making a middle part kind of ick because that is an obvious white line.

something like what lunchy posted would be best. long hair suits you but i think you would look best with some texture and a side part with some long bangs if you are worried about your forehead looking big, this way it "breaks up" your forehead so that it's only partially visible and therefore makes it a lot less noticeable than if it were entirely visible or entirely covered.

I like tania and lunchy's ideas...and linds is right. Short hair on my tends to look silly. So I will probably lose about 1/3 of the length and it'll be thinner, which is better than the veritable ski cap of heat that I have now. Plus yeah, I need to mix up the part. You can't see it in the photo I had, but sometimes the hairs in the middle stick up and look kind of weird.
