shaving your head is really brave. it's a strange act because it completely liberates you from any sort of head maintenance whatsoever and probably feels really weird as hell too. it's probably worth doing at least once in your life just to know what it's like. i've considered shaving my head a bunch of times for that reason, i keep my hair so short that it would probably grow back in five or six months anyway.

i think it's a cool thing you did, guy.

In the summer I buzzed it, not shaved but it was similar. It is really liberating and a little scary even if it doesn't look that good it feels amazing. Good Job Jens, also people are gonna wanna touch yr head.

Hey guys, I need some advice. About my hair.

I left it messy for the photo because after half an hour of work that is how it will look (if not worse) - I need a hair style that can be maintained easily even when confronted with physical work and crazy winds.

Truth. I would encourage you to take 3/4 of an inch or so off the back, just to take it solidly out of mullet territory. But I like the top and sides as they are.

keep the back a lot shorter than the front and sides. i have short hair and a seething hate for maintenance as well and that seems to work pretty well for me. it's also a hairstyle that can usually grow out for a good couple of months without looking too terrible.

So I was really busy last week and never shaved and now my face is all hairy. I'm trying to decide whether I should just shave and be done with it or hold out for a beard. Now, I know we're largely pro-beard on this forum, but I either need encouragement or for someone to talk some sense into me, whatever the case may be.

But you know what, hair is meant to be grown out and then chopped back off. I can deal with being sad if you grow it out and then chop it off later. I am growing mine out. Maybe it's just the season to grow out your hair.
