Why do I always find bands right after they broke up?

<< < (6/12) > >>

sanyo:
I Would Set Myself on Fire For You, a few days after they announced the breakup.

Darkbluerabbit:
Aw man, the Blood Brothers.  I was out of the loop and only found out a couple of days ago.  I just went to their Myspace and saw "1997-2007" and then a blog entitled "Thank you and goodbye."  God that was depressing.  I can't jump off a cliff though, because I have exams.

Not a minute after I started listening to "Weighing Souls With Sand," I found out that the drummer/guitarist for The Angelic Process broke his hand, possibly irreparably.

Music is sad.

yossarian07:
At least Pavement has a fairly good chance of reuniting at some point.
Think about it, a few years ago did you think that the Pixies or Dinosaur Jr. would reunite?

SON OF A BITCH

OP had damn well better never listen to Ted Leo and the Pharmacists. It was bad enough for that hellof rad afro-bearing bassist to quit, nobody'd better curse the rest of the band.

Katherine:
Oh I would cry if Ted Leo and the Pharmacists broke up.

I got into Hey Mercedes mere months before they broke up.  I actually got to see them this past Sept for a special reunion show they did so I guess I'm luckier than most.
