At The Drive-In had some good material. I never much cared for The Mars Volta. I'll still spin those old ATDI records though.

It's true, much of what they've been doing has become redundant.  That said, I still like them when the mood strikes me, it's just that the mood is striking me less and less these days.  There are a couple good tracks still on Bedlam, and Goliath is definitely one of them; has all the frenetic energy I love about the band while still leaving just a little bit of room to breath between all the guitar wanking.  It's still completely self-indulgent, but that's just how Omar works.

Edit: On second though, Ouroborous is the only track really worth listening to, and even sections of that are supremely skippable.
