Ridiculous Decadency

Lunchbox:
I bought some $110 leather heels last year and already they are ruined because the style sort of has a thin section that holds it all together and that bit kind of snapped. I give up on expensive shoes.
Except for $200 Doc Martens. But I need them. And they last. My previous pair went six years before the sole split. Hooray!

Nodaisho:
Most I have paid for boots was probably a tie between my $100 hiking boots a few years ago and my $100 Rocky jump boots this year, I like my jump boots better, but I really ought to take better care of them, I don't take care of the leather like I should. It is getting really soft where my feet bend, hopefully that is breaking in rather than just breaking.

NarwhalSunshine:
Whats the deal with Doc Martens? I can get a pair of combat boots that look the same and will last just as long for a lot less. Hell the boots I have now are almost 30 years old and still in great condition, they just need to be resoled.

Boro_Bandito:
last spring I bought a python and its setup with a paycheck just because I could, and I'm going to do the same in a few weeks with either a leopard gecko, corn snake, or several tree frogs. maybe a bearded dragon.
