OH MY GOSH I JUST PLAYED THE MOST AWESOME GAME EVER

Noitu Love 2 (currently only in demo state, but BRILLIANT)

What is this? It is basically a combination of pretty much every Treasure game out there, only it's for PC and uses a mouse to control (along with keyboard controls, mind you -- it's just for attacking).

The first stage starts out with a hectic run reminiscent of the last level of Dynamite Headdy and then throws you into wave upon wave of enemies while running through a city just like in Gunstar Heroes.
The combo attack system is brilliant and this game is really fast.
The second level starts with a boss reminiscent of the Death battle from the Dracula X SNES game, and then proceeds into something straight out of the Genesis Adventures of Batman and Robin (perhaps the most graphically advance of all Genesis games).

There's lots of scaling and 3-D like effects (just like you might expect from Treasure) and the first boss is satisfyingly large.

BUT THIS GAME IS COMPLETELY INDEPENDENTLY MADE.

Seriously, though? Why are you still reading this? You should be out playing this game now, unless of course your OS isn't compatible with this game, in which case I apologize profusely at having shown you this brilliant game and not giving you the opportunity to play it.

Ozymandias:
You had me at Dynamite Headdy.

KvP:
I think you all are in the wrong thread.

Narr:
I downloaded it but am engrossed in a conversation with a good friend.

Looks awesome.  I greatly enjoy these kinds of games.

Kinda makes me want to play through Cave Story again, actually.

In case you're not sold, here's a video of a guy dancing like a square to lame 80s music!
