It was fun, but i don't see anything remotely brilliant about it.  It's refreshing in a day of fps's and graphics contests, but it isn't anything that hasnt been done before.

I suppose it's not quite Earth-shattering, but I love how it's put nearly everything that made every great old game awesome into a single package.


That said, as all that's out there is a short demo of what I would assume is still WIP, there's probably more stuff to go. I'm going to assume a number of interesting puzzles and platforming traps.


I am curious, however, to see if this game will continue to make use of the evolution chambers in the first game.

I feel the need to mention the rest of the games the guy has on his site.

Chalk is pretty damn fun.

The original seems pretty fun -- I watched a guy play it on the highest difficulty.

It has pretty funny dialogue on that setting, since you have to beat the game on expert to get it -- thus the game plays under the assumption that this is a second play through.

Narr:
I'm going through the original on normal mode right now and I'm stuck on the last boss.  He's got this one attack I just don't know how to dodge.  It has to do with a giant lightning strike that just passes through the zone.  I'm thinking you're just supposed to take a hit and not get pummeled to death by everything else going on, but that's proving to be a challenge.
