Firstly, a note on ^ that stuff up there: I don't know why, but I like it. I feel like it should be disturbing, but it just isn't.

I guess the Internet has made me numb to this stuff. A Great Old One could pop up and I probably wouldn't even blink.

Second, I've been playing with this thing all morning. It uses javascript and Google maps to show the thermal damage radius of various thermonuclear weapons.

Man playing around with that nuclear bomb map gadget has taught me... nukes aren't as big as I thought. Like, yeah, it wipes out my city. But all my life I had thought these things were-state killers. Heck, if one hit downtown LA my hometown would be fine. I'm suspecting, however, that this thing doesn't give any indication of fallout, and that's what'll get ya.
