Leinad:
I played AoE II before I played AoE I, so when I went back and tried to enjoy AoE I I simply could not because of no queue's, no formations, and your troops did not move in a group.

Spluff:
I preferred AoE to AoE II because of it's thriving multiplayer community. After the population hack had been applied, furiously pumping out horse archers and vying for the high land in a DM was ridiculously fun.

Jackie Blue:
I've got AoE 2.  Despite being very good at the single-player campaigns in other RTS games, I cannot for the fucking life of me figure out how the fuck to beat the VERY FIRST JOAN OF ARC STORY MISSION (or maybe it's the second one, anyway the first one where you have a castle).

I get the feeling I'm missing some insanely basic strategy but every time I tried it, I would fortify my defenses like a madman and still get gang raped eventually.

Also I kept running out of resources.

He's got it nailed.  Surprised people even remember Torment... amazing game, but it just never got the attention it deserved.

An excellent game!  Why can't you play it?  Dosbox is your friend, man............

I also love me some Quest For Glory.
