Theyre playing at the middle east on Thursday the 19th

Golem and The Builders and The Butchers are opening for them. I'm unfamiliar with either band, but I actually favor that. I'm a strong believer that the best way to discover a new band for yourself is by seeing them live.

  • more post-coital, less post-rock

They're playing in Austin next month with a band called The Little Ones. I went and checked them out and apparently they play some pretty good indie-pop. This has made me think about actually going.

Hopefully it goes without saying but you should always ask before sticking things in people's butts

If I knew how much I'd like their album when they went on sale I probably would have bought tickets.

Though Middle East isn't my favorite venue.  The headline act doesn't go on till like 11 and it's the second loudest venue I've ever been to other than TT The Bear's right down the street.  Every time I go there I worry if I'm getting permanent hearing damage.

Dude, earplugs. I learned that the hard way when I saw Fu Manchu downstairs in March.
