I know they scarcely sound similar at all, but they are from the same era and the same kind of scene, as are the other bands I mentioned. So, as they do me, they might tickle the OP's fancy.

There were a whole string of soundalike Brit-Pop bands around the same time as Oasis and Blur but this list is as long as my arm!
