Favorite movie...based on the soundtrack

MrBlu:
Has anyone said August Rush yet? I love Kaki King, she makes me happy. It's kind of a chick-flick, but I watched it with over a girl's house, and I actually liked it. The story was kind of cheesy, but musically, it was really well done.

Yeah I loved that Nico part, was very nicely done.

Fight Club is amazing because of the Pixies, but mostly because of Tom Waits' 'Goin' Out West' when they enter the bar. Goosebumps every time, so badass and perfectly fitting lyrics. Here's the vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnJIurfr2nI

Also Taxi Driver with Robert DeNiro is one of the best scores ever made. Bernard Hermann made a very dark jazzy soundtrack for that movie, and it really set the mood.

stereobreadstick:
Kontroll, not to be confused with Control.  It's a Hungarian movie about the ticket checkers on the Budapest metro system, although that description doesn't really do it justice.  The soundtrack has a lot of really cool electronic music that really makes the atmosphere of the movie that much more ominous and interesting.

evilCarl:
I definitely have to agree with Everything is Illuminated (of course, I almost ruined it for myself by constantly having "Start Wearing Purple" by Gogol Bordelo constantly playing in my head) O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Juno.

As for a movie not mentioned, The Last King of Scotland is amazing for anyone interested in African music.

Catacombs:
I just watched "Wanted" and i thought it made good use of its soundtrack.  Also, the one song (i don't know who its by but the vocalist sounds kind of like the guy from Cold War Kids) they play a lot in it sounds like "Goin' Out West" by Tom Waits.
