Tell me about your Tabletop gamings of recent.
jhocking:
I was about to comment on how stupid that all sounds, but thinking back to when I played roleplaying games I got a kick out of occasionally playing batshit insane characters who would do crap like that.
The operative word being "occasionally" though. I went back and forth between the crazy character and one who took things a little more seriously.
Here's a question: Are you guys familiar with the term "munchkin"? If so, do you find this playing style as hugely annoying as I did?
Spluff:
I really wish I knew people that played tabletop games.
Alex C:
My point really was that oddball stuff and out of the ordinary things happen in roleplaying games. A lot of the best roleplaying game stories actually involve things you would never want to see happen in game again.
Meanwhile, in Scrabble, you can get a triple word score or get called out for spelling a word incorrectly and lose points! Woo.
I mean, shit, I like Scrabble and all, but rarely does a game produce an anecdote nor is there really any creative process involved in starting up a game in the first place.

Aside from threads like this, if you think people want to hear stories about your role-playing sessions then you are sadly deluded.
-Karamazov-:
I've got some sweet stories about Risk night with my roommates. Actually, Risk night isn't so much about playing Risk as it is drinking enough to not remember who you're fighting against for control of Irkutsk.
