The Joker, most ice cream places also have sorbet, which is non-dairy. :)

I'm lactose intolerant, but I just can't help myself. Evidence: I had a huge honkin' piece of trés leches cake today. For the Spanish impaired, that's three milks cake. I love cheese, especially melty. I can usually remember to take my lactose pill every day and that helps a trcukload.

Not in the uncivilized Canadian wasteland, we don't.

For some odd reason, cheese doesn't affect me.  Milk, yogourt and ice cream all do, though.  I am clearly a mutant.

Cheese is low in lactose.  The bugs and fungi consume it as the cheese ages.
Yogurt is also lower in lactose than milk and for the same reason as cheese.  Most yogurts don't bother me. I can handle small amounts of ice cream, too.
